Jewish Power Party Slams Attorney General Over Terror Supporter Ban

The far-right Jewish Power party has issued a sharp rebuke of the Attorney General's stance regarding the disqualification of Sami Abu Shehadeh, chairman of the Balad party, from running for the Knesset (Israeli parliament). Jewish Power argues that the extensive evidence submitted in their petition necessitates a clear and unequivocal decision to disqualify Abu Shehadeh.

In a statement, the party declared, "If after all the materials we presented regarding Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh, the Attorney General is unable to call a spade a spade and announce in the most unequivocal way that he must be disqualified from running for the Knesset, it shows how much she needs to be removed and how unfit she is for the role of legal counsel."

Jewish Power further asserted that their petition is well-founded, including evidence intended to prove Abu Shehadeh's support for terrorism, materials they claim law enforcement should have gathered themselves. The party accused the Attorney General's position of siding with terror supporters instead of Israeli citizens.

The party also broadened its demand, calling for the Ra'am party to be prevented from running as well. "Abu Shehadeh and Ra'am must be outside the Israeli Knesset. We will not rest until we remove terror supporters from the Knesset," they stated.
