Kupa Rashit Premiere Shatters Ratings Records on Israeli Public Broadcaster

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC) celebrated a historic launch night with the sixth season premiere of its popular comedy series "Kupa Rashit" (The Supermarket). The show, which follows the lives of employees and customers at the 'Shefa Yissachar' branch in Yavne and stars Keren Mor, Noa Koler, Dov Navon, and Amir Shurush, achieved the highest premiere ratings in the series' history.

In linear television, the episode garnered a 16.4% rating, translating to 489,000 viewers on IPBC's Kan 11 channel. This marks a significant increase of approximately 20% compared to the previous season's premiere in December 2024, which recorded 13.7%.

Simultaneously, "Kupa Rashit" demonstrated unprecedented digital performance, accumulating around half a million views across IPBC's digital platforms, including Kan BOX, its YouTube channel, website, and app, within the first night alone. These strong numbers significantly outperformed competing channels.

In the same primetime slot, Keshet 12's special interview secured second place with 12.6% (372,000 viewers), while Channel 14's "HaPatriotim" (The Patriots) ranked third with 7.3% (230,000 viewers). Reshet 13 trailed with the film "Hilula," attracting only 3.7% (137,000 viewers).

The IPBC's dominance continued into the second primetime slot with the premiere of the docu-drama "Anashim She'Pagash'ti" (People I Met). This series, focusing on intimate and revealing human encounters in Israeli society, achieved an 8.6% rating (251,000 viewers) on Kan 11, with an additional 90,000 digital views overnight. This figure was enough to surpass Keshet 12's "Intimi," which garnered 7.0% (217,000 viewers). Channel 14's "Sihah" (Conversation) took third place with 5.7%, and Reshet 13's "HaTzinor" (The Tube) compilation finished last with 2.8%.
