Kan 11 Dominates Ratings, 'Kupa Rashit' Season Premiere Shatters Competition
Israeli public broadcaster Kan 11 achieved a rare and significant victory over its commercial rivals on Monday evening, particularly in the prime time slot. The new season of the popular comedy series "Kupa Rashit" (The Main Fund) premiered to a massive 16.4% rating, drawing nearly half a million viewers (489,000). This performance decisively outperformed "Special Interview" on Keshet 12, which garnered 12.6% (372,000 viewers).
Kan 11's success extended into the second prime time slot, where the debut episode of the drama series "Anashim ShePagash'ti" (People I Met) achieved an 8.6% rating (251,000 viewers), surpassing Keshet 12's "Intimi" with 7.0% (217,000 viewers). Other channels lagged significantly, with Reshet 13's film "Hilula" scoring 3.7% and Channel 14's "HaPatriotim" (The Patriots) reaching 7.3% for the evening.
However, Keshet 12 maintained its dominance before the prime time block. Its 7 PM newscast, "Mahadura Mukdemet" with Liron Zaid, secured 9.0%, while Kan 11's equivalent program only managed 1.5%. In the main evening news, "News 12" led with 12.6% (361,000 viewers), ahead of Channel 14's holiday eve news (5.5%), Kan 11's news (4.3%), and Reshet 13's news (3.8%).
The unprecedented ratings for Kan 11, especially driven by "Kupa Rashit," highlight the show's current unrivaled popularity in the Israeli television market.
