Kupa Rashit Season Premiere Dominates Ratings
The sixth season premiere of the Israeli comedy "Kupa Rashit" (Cash Register) on Kan 11 achieved a strong debut, capturing 16.4% of the audience and drawing 489,000 viewers. This performance placed it at the top of prime time programming, surpassing other major networks.
Kan 11's success continued with the premiere of "Anashim She Pagash'ti" (People I Met) immediately following "Kupa Rashit," which garnered 8.6% and 251,000 viewers. This also outranked "HaPatriotim" on Channel 14, which recorded 7.3% and 230,000 viewers.
In the prime time competition, Keshet 12's "Raiyon Meyuchad" (Special Interview) secured second place with 12.6% and 373,000 viewers. Reshet 13 struggled, with the film "HaHilula" (The Celebration) only managing 3.7% and 137,000 viewers, significantly less than "Kupa Rashit."
News broadcasts saw Channel 12's news program lead with 12.6% and 361,000 viewers, more than double Channel 14's 5.5% and 186,000 viewers. Kan 11's news followed with 4.3% and 126,000 viewers, while Reshet 13's news had 3.8% and 134,000 viewers, with a slight discrepancy in viewer numbers versus rating percentage.
Late-night programming saw Keshet 12's "Intimi" (Intimate) lead with 7% and 217,000 viewers, followed by Channel 14's "Sihah Im Oded Harosh - Rav Yitzhak Panger" (Conversation with Oded Harosh - Rabbi Yitzhak Panger) at 5.7% and 176,000 viewers. Kan 11's late-night news achieved 4.5% and 124,000 viewers.
The strong ratings for "Kupa Rashit" follow the success of its recent film adaptation, which attracted nearly a million viewers over the summer. The network is already planning a special election night episode and has begun work on a seventh season of the series.
