Police Discover Weapons Cache Hidden in Refrigerator in Northern Israel
Israeli police and border guards (MAGAV) uncovered a weapons cache hidden inside a refrigerator in a stable in the northern city of Marar. The discovery was made during a targeted operation against organized crime late last week.
During the search of the stable, officers found the hidden compartment within the appliance. Inside, they discovered a "Carlo"-type improvised submachine gun, a container of loose cartridges, 24 boxes of ammunition, and a fragmentation grenade wrapped in plastic.
All seized items have been sent to police forensic laboratories for examination and further investigation. Police stated the operation is part of ongoing efforts by MAGAV and the Northern District to locate and confiscate illegal weapons, preventing their use in criminal activities.
