Israeli Player Anan Khalaili Praised as Premier League's Best

Israeli footballer Anan Khalaili has earned significant praise for his performances in the early stages of the Premier League season with Crystal Palace. Veteran English journalist John Fisher included Khalaili in his team of the season so far, highlighting the young Israeli as a standout player for Crystal Palace.

Fisher noted Khalaili's successful transition into the team, particularly stepping into the role of Daniel Muñoz on the right side of defense. The journalist pointed to Khalaili's league-leading 21 tackles and 15 clearances, in addition to scoring one goal this season, as evidence of his strong contributions.

"Khalaili has been one of Crystal Palace's bright spots this season," Fisher wrote. "He has put in a series of strong performances and proven he can compete at the highest level. Despite the team's summer changes, the Israeli has integrated well and become one of their most prominent players."

Despite Crystal Palace securing only four points in their first five matches, Fisher emphasized Khalaili's encouraging performances as a sign of reliability for the team. Khalaili was also named in the opening team of the season by statistics website WhoScored, achieving an average rating of 7.16.

WhoScored described Khalaili as "very fast and skillful," adding that while he needs defensive improvement, he is "undoubtedly capable of reaching greater heights than Crystal Palace." Khalaili had a busy summer, nearly signing with Italian club Inter Milan before a medical examination reportedly halted the transfer.
