Israeli footballer Anan Khalaili has earned significant praise for his performances in the English Premier League this season, with veteran English journalist John Fisher naming him among the top players of the season so far. Khalaili, who joined Crystal Palace after a near-transfer to Inter Milan fell through due to medical tests, has impressed Fisher with his strong showings.

Fisher included Khalaili in his Premier League Team of the Season to date, highlighting his successful transition into the right-back role, previously occupied by Daniel Muñoz. The journalist noted Khalaili's league-leading 21 tackles and 15 clearances, alongside one goal scored this season.

"Khalaili has been one of Crystal Palace's bright spots in the season's opening. He has put in a series of strong performances and proven he can compete at the highest levels. Despite the team's summer changes, the Israeli has integrated well and become one of their standout players," Fisher wrote, adding that Khalaili's performance is encouraging for a Palace team that has secured only four points in its first five matches.

Further recognition came from the statistics website WhoScored, which also included Khalaili in its Premier League Team of the Season. He received an average rating of 7.16 for his league games. WhoScored described him as "very fast and skillful," suggesting he needs defensive improvement but has the potential to achieve more than Crystal Palace offers.
