Syria Reports Major Explosions at Ammunition Depot South of Aleppo; Israel Denies Involvement

A series of intense explosions rocked an ammunition depot belonging to the Syrian Ministry of Defense in the Al-Eis area, south of Aleppo, overnight. Social media footage depicted repeated detonations, flames, and smoke rising from the site.

Initial reports indicate that four people were injured in the incident. Syrian emergency forces evacuated families residing near the location as a precautionary measure. The road connecting Aleppo to Damascus, along with other local routes, was temporarily closed due to fears of secondary explosions and falling debris.

Israel has officially denied any involvement in the explosions. However, a source close to the administration of "terrorist" Ahmed Al-Shaara stated that authorities are investigating the possibility of Israeli links to the event. As of now, no evidence has been presented to confirm an Israeli attack, and the Syrian Ministry of Defense has not officially determined the cause of the blast.

This incident is the fourth explosion this month at a weapons storage facility in Syria. Reuters reports that in previous similar incidents, Syrian authorities have attributed the explosions to factors such as poor storage conditions, fires, or aging ammunition, while other causes remain unexplained.
