In a Facebook post, Yakov Buzaglo addressed the public's reactions, particularly those he deemed critical or mocking. He emphasized that his family, including himself, is proud despite any difficulties, asserting, "I am not ashamed. On the contrary. I am proud. Proud of my family and will continue to be proud of it, in good times and bad."

Yakov Buzaglo views his son's decision to share his struggles as an important message against the pressure to appear perfect. He suggested that some negative reactions were not about Ohad but were instead politically motivated, targeting his own "proud leftist" stance.

He further commented on the universality of hardship, noting that no family is immune to difficult times. Buzaglo described his family as united and real, not necessarily perfect, and reiterated his unwavering support for Ohad, especially when facing adversity or attempts to trivialize his pain.
