A new luxury hotel from the Fattal chain has opened in Herzliya Marina, in a striking building designed to resemble a giant yacht moored on a small island. The project is meant to revive an area that was once one of Israel’s most sought-after leisure and vacation spots, but has lost some of its former shine in recent years.
The hotel, called The Yacht, sits at the edge of the marina where water surrounds it on three sides. Its setting creates a strong visual effect, with sea, boats and piers visible from almost every angle, blurring the line between the building and the waterfront.
Architect Ilan Pivko designed the structure with rounded lines, wide balconies and a continuous connection to the marine landscape, giving it an unusual appearance for the Israeli hotel scene. The hotel opens as Israeli tourism is trying to recover, while coastal cities compete for visitors and leisure travelers.
For Herzliya Marina, the new hotel is an attempt to restore a center of attraction in an area once known for entertainment, recreation and luxury. It is too early to know whether it will bring back the district’s past appeal, but it has already become one of the year’s most notable new projects. Midweek rates for two people with breakfast start at 1,785 shekels, or 1,607 shekels for members of the Fattal and Friends club.
