Chef Avi Biton Launches Riviera-Style Club Marine Restaurant in Herzliya Marina
Chef Avi Biton, known for shaping Tel Aviv's dining scene with the Popular Group, has opened a new restaurant called Club Marine in Herzliya Marina. After working on the project since October 7, 2025, Biton and his partners launched the venue this month, marking their first venture outside Tel Aviv. Situated on the waterfront next to the luxury THE YACHT hotel, Club Marine offers a Riviera atmosphere reminiscent of the French and Italian coasts, with direct views of the sea and yachts.
The restaurant, described by Biton as his largest and most expensive kitchen to date, cost 3 million shekels to establish. It seats 180 guests indoors and outdoors, employs 40 staff members including nine kitchen chefs, and features smoking and non-smoking terraces plus a bar with high seating overlooking the marina. Interior design by Yaron Tal incorporates yacht-inspired elements and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
The menu focuses on Mediterranean cuisine with influences from Spain, Italy, and France, emphasizing seafood dishes alongside pastas, pizzas, vegetables, and meats. Signature dishes include grilled broccoli with anchovies, mussels marinière, seafood bucatini, and a light fish pappardelle. Unique offerings such as a cucumber Caesar salad, tuna carpaccio with white balsamic, and grilled shrimp with pesto toast highlight the creative approach. The pizza is thin and crispy, inspired by Riviera style.
Beverage options feature light wines from Portugal and Greece and cocktails inspired by Sicily, the Côte d'Azur, and southern Spain, including Club Spritz, Bellini, and French martinis. Club Marine is open Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., offering a 30% discount on the full menu during happy hour (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) Monday through Thursday.
Looking ahead, a swimming club with a sea-facing pool and wellness-themed finger food and cocktails is planned to open above the restaurant next year. Club Marine aims to provide a fashionable, escapist summer dining experience in Herzliya Marina, perfect for romantic sunsets and seaside leisure.
