Chef Avi Bitton Launches New Pop-Up with Innovative Mediterranean Street Food
Chef Avi Bitton is leading the latest phase of the "Azrieli Foodies" pop-up project, a traveling culinary initiative hosted by Azrieli Malls in partnership with Round Tables. Following chef Moshe Roth's recent participation, Bitton will present a focused menu of kosher Mediterranean street food across northern, central, and southern Israel. His offerings include a shawarma pastry combining turkey and veal shawarma with beet tahini, green tahini, and caramelized onions, available also in a vegan version for 55 shekels. Another dish is the "Parna Dayag," featuring white fish fillet, preserved lemon, tomato salsa, and shifka aioli wrapped in parna bread, with a gluten-free option priced at 60 shekels.
The pop-up will take place at Azrieli Ayalon Mall from July 6 to 9, Azrieli Negev in Beersheba from July 13 to 16, and Azrieli Akko from July 27 to 30. The project aims to offer nostalgic, straightforward dishes without unnecessary gimmicks, keeping prices accessible. Later in October and November, chef Yuval Ben Neria will be featured at Azrieli malls in Tel Aviv, Rishon LeZion, and Hod Hasharon, promising more culinary surprises.
This initiative continues to bring innovative street food experiences to various regions in Israel, combining quality, affordability, and kosher certification, with options catering to vegan and gluten-free diets.
