Former Australian League MVP Jalen Adams Signs with Maccabi Ramat Gan

Maccabi Ramat Gan announced the signing of American guard Jalen Adams, 30, as their fifth foreign player for the upcoming season. Adams, standing at 1.88 meters, brings a notable resume to the Israeli team, coached by Elad Hasin.

Adams previously played college basketball at UConn before appearing in 44 NBA games for the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Portland Trail Blazers, averaging 2.7 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.5 rebounds. He later moved to the Australian NBL, where he became a star player for the Sydney Kings. In the 2021-2022 season, he led the Kings to a championship and was named the league's MVP, averaging 20.1 points, 6 assists, and 5.1 rebounds.

Following his success in Australia, Adams joined Crvena Zvezda Belgrade in the EuroLeague, but struggled to make an impact, playing only three games and averaging 5.7 points and 2.7 assists before being released in November. He subsequently played in China, Lubbock, and most recently with the Brisbane Bullets in Australia, where he averaged 12.8 points and 5.3 assists last season.
