Justin Lewis Signs with Maccabi Ramat Gan as Second Foreign Player
Maccabi Ramat Gan officially announced the signing of 24-year-old forward Justin Lewis, who will join the team coached by Elad Hassin as their second foreign player following Bryce Washington's return to Israel. Lewis, standing 2.01 meters tall, played last season for Limoges in France after completing his first year in European basketball.
A Marquette University graduate, Lewis was named the Most Improved Player in the BIG EAST conference in 2022. His career in the United States included stints with several NBA G League teams affiliated with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Utah Jazz. During the previous season with Limoges, he appeared in 25 games, averaging 16.8 minutes, 6.5 points, and 3.6 rebounds per game.
Coach Elad Hassin expressed optimism about Lewis's signing, highlighting his versatility and athleticism. Hassin noted that Lewis can play multiple frontcourt positions and on both sides of the court, praising his impressive physical attributes and hoping Lewis will make a significant breakthrough in European basketball while with Maccabi Ramat Gan.
