Justin Lewis Signs with Maccabi Ramat Gan as Second Foreign Player
Maccabi Ramat Gan officially announced the signing of Justin Lewis, who will be the second foreign player to join the team coached by Elad Hassin, following the return of Bryce Washington to Israel. Lewis, 24, stands 2.01 meters tall and played last season for Limoges in France, marking his first year in European basketball. A power forward and Marquette University alumnus, Lewis was named the 2022 Most Improved Player in the BIG EAST conference.
During his career in the United States, Lewis played for several NBA G League teams affiliated with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Utah Jazz. In the 2025-2026 season with Limoges, he appeared in 25 games, averaging 16.8 minutes, 6.5 points, and 3.6 rebounds per game. Maccabi Ramat Gan expects his athleticism and versatility to help him become a key player in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.
Coach Elad Hassin praised Lewis as a young, versatile player capable of playing multiple frontcourt positions on both ends of the court. Hassin highlighted Lewis's impressive physical attributes, including his wingspan and athletic abilities, expressing hope that Lewis will make a significant professional breakthrough in Europe with Maccabi Ramat Gan.
