Turkish Drone Firm Releases Video Showing 'Merkava' Tank Destruction

Turkish drone company Skydagger has released a 27-second promotional video depicting a drone attacking a tank resembling Israel's Merkava. The video, shared on social media, shows a tank with a blue flag being targeted by the company's drone. The tank is initially labeled 'Problem,' which then changes to 'Solution' after its destruction.

The Turkish news site Istanbul Post identified the tank as an Israeli Merkava, noting that while the company did not explicitly name it, the flag and tank's design left no doubt. The site reported that the Merkava, a cornerstone of the Israel Defense Forces' armored corps and a primary vehicle in Gaza operations, is equipped with the 'Trophy' active protection system designed to counter top-down threats. However, the article references the war in Ukraine, suggesting that inexpensive FPV drones can still hit heavy tanks from above.

Skydagger, founded in 2024, specializes in drone technology and advanced IT solutions, aiming to be a global leader in autonomous systems.
