Two Cousins Die Weeks Apart in Negev Road Accident
The Bedouin town of Tel al-Sabi in the Negev is mourning the deaths of two young cousins, Salim Abu Rquiq, 13, and Salim Eid Abu Rquiq, who died within two weeks of each other from injuries sustained in the same road accident. The younger Salim succumbed to his injuries approximately two weeks after the incident, which also claimed the life of his cousin. Both boys were riding a bicycle in Tel al-Sabi when they were struck by a car, resulting in their severe injuries and subsequent deaths. The tragic events have cast a pall of grief over the family and the entire community.
