Roy Revivo, a player for Elche, recorded a remarkable performance on Friday night against Espanyol, providing two assists within the first half-hour of the match. This marks the fifth time in his career that Revivo has achieved multiple assists in a single game, with the previous instance occurring earlier in the current 2026-2027 season. Revivo is nearing his father, Haim Revivo's, official assist total in the Spanish League. During his tenure with Celta Vigo from 1996 to 2000, assist statistics were rarely officially recorded. Achieving two assists as a defender in a Spanish League game is an uncommon accomplishment, and Revivo is the first player to do so this season. Last year, only three defenders managed this feat: Hector Fort of Barcelona, Fede Valverde of Real Madrid, and Mateo Retegui of Atletico Madrid. While multiple instances of defenders achieving this occurred in the 2024-2025 season, they typically happened later in the season and not within such a short timeframe. Considering Elche played with a numerical disadvantage, Revivo's performance stands out as one of the rarest for a defender in the league's history.
