Roy Revivo Achieves Rare Feat With Two Assists in Spanish League Match

Roy Revivo, a player for Elche, recorded a remarkable performance on Friday night against Espanyol, providing two assists within the first half-hour of the game. This marks the fifth time in his career that Revivo has achieved multiple assists in a single match, with the previous instance occurring earlier in the 2026-27 season. Revivo is nearing his father, Haim Revivo's, official assist total in the Spanish League. During his tenure with Celta Vigo from 1996 to 2000, assists were rarely officially recorded.

Achieving two assists as a defender in a Spanish League match is an uncommon accomplishment. Revivo is the first player this season to reach this milestone. Last season, only three defenders managed this feat: Hector Fort of Barcelona, Fede Valverde of Real Madrid, and Mateo Retegui of Atletico Madrid. While multiple instances of defenders achieving this occurred in the 2024-25 season, they typically happened later in the season and not within such a short timeframe.

Adding to the rarity, Revivo's performance occurred while his team was playing with ten men.
