Israeli Prospect Roy Revivo Named to Elche Squad for La Liga Match

Israeli player Roy Revivo has been included in the squad for Spanish club Elche's upcoming La Liga match against Real Sociedad on Monday. Revivo, who joined Elche just last week, could make his debut for the team in the fourth round of the Spanish league. His transfer followed a tense summer and a dispute between his family and the management of Maccabi Tel Aviv, which was resolved shortly before the transfer window closed.

Revivo arrived in Spain after Maccabi Tel Aviv's 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa, underwent medical tests, and signed a four-year contract reportedly worth around 550,000 euros per season. He is aiming to establish himself in the Spanish league and might get an immediate opportunity to help his new team, which is currently struggling.

Elche is still seeking its first league win of the season, having secured only one point from a possible nine in their first three matches. The club recognizes that another loss, especially at home, could deepen their crisis and increase pressure on the team and coaching staff. Elche has conceded nine goals in their opening three league games, and Revivo's potential contribution is seen as a much-needed reinforcement.
