Roy Revivo's Frenetic Transfer Deadline Day to Elche

Israeli player Roy Revivo completed a dramatic transfer to Spanish club Elche just before the transfer window closed, following a night of intense negotiations. The deal, which saw Revivo move to the Spanish top league, was finalized after protracted discussions between his representatives and the Israeli club, referred to as 'the yellows'.

Negotiations stretched through the night, with a breakthrough occurring around 4 a.m. after agreements were reached on key terms, including a 30% sell-on clause for the Israeli club. The Elche president then gave his final approval, paving the way for the transfer.

Revivo then embarked on a race against time to reach Spain for medical tests and to sign his contract before the deadline. After collecting his passport, he flew to Spain via Budapest, aware that any flight delays could jeopardize the move. The journey took 12 hours.

He arrived in Elche in the evening, underwent medical examinations, and signed the contract shortly before the window shut. Revivo has since participated in partial training due to his long journey and a full 90-minute match played previously. He is expected to return to full training soon and could be included in the squad for an upcoming match against Real Sociedad.
