Israeli Defender Roy Revivo May Debut for Elche in La Liga

Israeli defender Roy Revivo, recently acquired from Maccabi Tel Aviv, is in contention to make his debut for Spanish club Elche against Real Sociedad on Monday evening. Elche, seeking their first points of the season, will include Revivo in their squad for the match. The team currently lacks a natural left-back, with German Valera often filling the role. However, an injury to Yago Santiago, typically a left winger, might see Valera return to his preferred position, potentially opening a spot for Revivo.

Coach Manuel Arisalami stated that he would assess which of the new signings are ready to play. Spanish sports outlet Marca anticipates Elche will deploy a 3-4-3 formation, with Valera playing as a left winger and Revivo, wearing number 3, possibly starting on the bench. Elche's defense is noted as the worst in the Spanish league, and the team faces significant questions as they aim for recovery and their first point of the 2026-2027 season.
