A woman in her 60s was found dead in her apartment in Ashdod with signs of violence on her body, in an incident now being treated as suspected murder. Police arrested her husband on suspicion of involvement, while forensic investigators collected evidence at the scene.
Emergency responders were called to the apartment and medical staff pronounced her dead there. According to MDA paramedic Orel Asulin, the team was led into the apartment and found a woman lying unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing.
Asulin said, "We arrived at the scene and were led to the apartment, where we saw a woman about 80 years old lying unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. We carried out medical examinations and, sadly, had to declare her dead on the spot." The article does not explain the discrepancy between her estimated age and the earlier description of her as being in her 60s.
Police continue to investigate the case and examine the evidence gathered at the site. No further details about a motive or the circumstances of the killing have been released.
