Nova Victim's Mother Confronts Former Intel Chief Haliva

The mother of a victim murdered at the Nova music festival, Libby Cohen Meguri, confronted former head of Military Intelligence, Aharon Haliva, accusing him of failing to visit her family since her daughter's death three years ago. The encounter occurred during a morning run, where she recognized Haliva and his associate, Eyal Segal.

In a video of the confrontation, Cohen directly addressed Haliva, stating, "You know who I am, you know us well. You live a kilometer from our house. Three years since she was murdered, you haven't bothered to come once." She contrasted his behavior with that of former IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, whom she said had visited her family, sat with them for hours, and expressed remorse.

Cohen further accused Haliva of lying and knowing she was looking for him, stating, "Don't lie, you knew I was looking for you. Where were you? Insolent, she is buried because of you." She expressed that Haliva should feel ashamed and offer condolences, acknowledging his suffering as well.

Cohen recounted that she had previously asked Segal to relay a message to Haliva, requesting he visit and admit his guilt and responsibility. When she identified herself to Haliva during the encounter, she claims he responded by saying he didn't know who she was, which further angered her. She asserted that he was well aware of her and her daughter, and should be thinking daily of her daughter and the other 1,200 victims of the massacre.
