Woman Charged with Drunk Driving Fatality and Hit-and-Run
The prosecution has filed an indictment against Inbar Halon, a 36-year-old resident of Moshav Porat, for negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, drunk driving, and lane deviation. The indictment alleges that approximately two weeks ago, Halon was driving home under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
As she approached the entrance to her moshav, she veered right and struck Amos Gueta, a 48-year-old resident of the moshav, who was walking on the side of the road. Gueta was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the collision, Halon continued driving without calling for assistance. The indictment was filed at the Lod District Court.
