The Israel Meteorological Service issued a orange warning this morning for extreme heat stress in the Jordan Valley, the Kinneret valleys, northern and southern Judea Desert and the Dead Sea area. The alert covers especially the Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee region and the Dead Sea basin.
On Monday, the forecast calls for partly cloudy to clear skies and a slight drop in temperatures, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Tuesday is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with no significant temperature change.
On Wednesday, temperatures are forecast to rise slightly again, especially in the mountains and inland. Forecast highs for today and tonight include 18-28 in Jerusalem, 24-28 in Tel Aviv, 20-32 in Beersheba, 23-28 in Haifa, 22-34 in Tiberias, 17-27 in Safed and 25-37 in Eilat.
