Israeli Forces Neutralize Suspect in Balata Refugee Camp During Arrest Attempt
In a joint operation, Israeli police and military forces, in close cooperation with the Shin Bet security agency, conducted an operation in the Balata refugee camp to apprehend a suspect. The operation was led by the Samaria Brigade and involved elite fighters from the "Gideonim 33" unit of "Lahav 433".
During the raid, forces located the suspect inside a building. He is described as a 35-year-old resident of Kafr Qallil village, an operative in "the organization," and a sensitive target connected to weapons sources.
As forces entered the building, the suspect attempted to flee and resisted arrest. In response, the unit's fighters "accurately shot at the suspect's legs," neutralizing him. He was apprehended, received initial medical treatment from the forces, and was then transferred to the Shin Bet for further treatment and interrogation.
No Israeli forces were injured during the operation.
