Maccabi Tel Aviv decisively defeated their arch-rivals Hapoel Tel Aviv with a commanding 101-81 victory to secure the first title of the 2026-27 season, the Israeli Super Cup. The game, held at Menora Mivtachim Arena, saw Maccabi Tel Aviv, the reigning league champions, assert their dominance from early on.

The match began at a high pace, with Hapoel Tel Aviv initially taking a 21-16 lead led by Dan Otero. However, Maccabi quickly responded, with Yam Madar, facing his former team, hitting a step-back jumper at the buzzer to end the first quarter with Maccabi leading 28-26.

Maccabi extended their lead in the second quarter, fueled by an individual 7-0 run from Kithon Wallace, who came off the bench. The first half concluded with a spectacular play as Madar stole the ball and made a full-court shot at the buzzer, giving Maccabi a significant 54-42 advantage.
