Undercover Agent Busts Drug Ring in Jerusalem; Three Arrested

An undercover operative successfully infiltrated a drug trafficking network in the Shefa neighborhood of Jerusalem, leading to the arrest of three suspects. The operation, which spanned several months, involved the agent making multiple drug purchases from two individuals. The police moved to the overt phase of the investigation when they apprehended one suspect during a drug deal, with two others arrested shortly thereafter in the same vehicle.

During a search of the suspects and their vehicle, authorities seized substances believed to be cocaine, suspected illegal pills, cash, and mobile phones. The three individuals were taken into custody for further investigation at the Shefa police station.

Following the arrests, their detention was extended by the court multiple times. On Thursday, prosecutors filed a statement of intent to indict, signaling the conclusion of the investigation and the impending filing of charges, along with a request for their continued detention until the legal proceedings are complete. The police stated that the undercover operation gathered significant evidence against the suspects regarding their drug trafficking activities.
