Undercover Police Bust Heroin and Cocaine Ring in South Tel Aviv

Eight suspects, including five women, have been indicted for drug trafficking in southern Tel Aviv following an undercover operation by two police officers. The officers, working for the Shar'at station in the Ayalon district, posed as buyers over recent weeks to target drug dealing hotspots in the city's southern neighborhoods.

During the investigation, the undercover officers conducted multiple drug deals with various suspects, purchasing heroin and cocaine. Simultaneously, investigators gathered evidence that, according to police, links the suspects to dozens of drug transactions. Police stated that these dealing locations are controlled by criminal elements and contribute to crime in the area.

The suspects are accused of selling large quantities of heroin and cocaine to various customers, including foreign nationals residing in southern Tel Aviv. Following the transition from a covert to an overt investigation, the eight suspects were arrested and taken for questioning.

Their arrests were extended by the court during the investigation period. Today, with the investigation complete, indictments were filed against the eight defendants for drug trafficking offenses. Alongside the indictments, requests were submitted to detain them until the legal proceedings conclude.
