Arkia Offers 50% Discount on Flights During Intermediate Days of Sukkot
Israeli airline Arkia is launching a flash sale offering a 50% discount on all flights during the intermediate days of Sukkot, known as Chol HaMoed. The promotion will run overnight, from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and applies to most destinations except for long-haul routes. Popular European destinations included in the sale are Montenegro, London, Amsterdam, various Greek islands, and Budapest, with hundreds of tickets available.
This is not the first time Arkia has offered such a significant discount. In June, the airline provided a 50% discount on a range of destinations. However, the company has faced technical challenges during previous sales; in late 2024, its website crashed for three hours when a 25% discount was offered for 25 hours.
For those who prefer to travel after the holidays, a separate analysis by lastminute.co.il indicates a significant drop in average flight prices for September and early October compared to mid-to-late October. Across 15 surveyed destinations, prices decreased, with the most substantial reduction seen in Rome, where round-trip flights dropped by 74% from an average of $620 to $160. Budapest saw a 71% decrease, Athens 64%, Catania 62%, and Tbilisi 60%. Even for longer distances, savings were notable, with reductions of $969 in Tokyo, $707 in Seoul, and $605 in Hanoi.
