Israeli Forces Arrest 12 Wanted Individuals in West Bank Operation

Israeli forces in the Judea and Samaria district apprehended 12 wanted individuals across the West Bank over the past week as part of an ongoing operation dubbed "Arresting in Red." The arrests included those with outstanding arrest warrants, individuals sought for questioning, and those who failed to report for their sentences.

Among those detained was an 18-year-old resident of Ya'bad village, suspected of involvement in a shooting incident targeting police officers in Ein a-Sahla in August. According to police, the incident involved shouting followed by intense gunfire directed at forces from approximately 50 meters away, posing an immediate danger to their lives. The suspect was located and arrested by officers from the Ariel station with intelligence guidance and transferred for further investigation in the Northern District.

In a separate operation, forces from the "Arrow of Judea" unit of the special patrol (Yasam) arrested a resident of Dura, in his 40s, on Route 60. He was wanted by the Prison Service for failing to report to serve a sentence for illegal stay offenses. After his interrogation, he was handed over to the Prison Service.

Additional arrests included individuals with outstanding arrest warrants for infiltration and illegal stay offenses. A 32-year-old resident of Hebron was arrested at the Beit Anun junction, and two more wanted individuals in their 20s and 30s were apprehended near the Tarkumiya crossing this morning. All detainees were transferred for further investigation or to serve their sentences.

The police stated that operations to locate and arrest wanted individuals attempting to evade the law and their sentences will continue.
