Therapeutic Horse Riding Program Launched for People With Disabilities in Kafr Qara

The social services department of the Kafr Qara municipality, in cooperation with the Akim Foundation and Salam institutions, has launched a therapeutic horse riding program for individuals with disabilities aged 21 and above. The initiative, held at the Al-Wisam stable in Ara, aims to provide a unique therapeutic and experiential space that combines enjoyment with personal development.

The program utilizes horseback riding and equine-assisted therapy to enhance participants' self-confidence, develop motor and sensory skills, improve balance and coordination, and encourage social interaction. It is designed to offer a new experience that fosters a sense of achievement and independence.

Community social worker Rami Aql stated that the program aligns with the community work vision of providing opportunities for all segments of society, focusing on the capabilities and potential of individuals with disabilities to promote their social integration. Head of the Social Services Department, I'tidal Masarwa, emphasized the importance of investing in programs that offer valuable new experiences for people with disabilities, noting that supportive frameworks and quality initiatives enhance their community participation, independence, and sense of accomplishment.

The Kafr Qara municipality reaffirmed its commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities through tailored services and programs, striving to build an inclusive society with equal opportunities for participation, development, and integration for all its members. The municipality expressed hope that the program will be a space for learning, enjoyment, development, and the creation of new experiences.
