Therapeutic Horseback Riding Course Launched for Adults with Disabilities in Kafr Qara

The Social Services Department of the Kafr Qara Municipality has launched a therapeutic horseback riding course for individuals with disabilities aged 21 and above. The initiative, organized by the department's community outreach division, aims to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.

The course is being held at Al-Wisam stables in Ara, owned by Muhannad Atef Zeid, in collaboration with Akim and Salam institutions. It is designed as a therapeutic and experiential space combining enjoyment, interaction, and personal development.

Horseback riding therapy is expected to boost self-confidence, improve motor and sensory skills, enhance balance and coordination, and encourage social interaction. Participants are anticipated to gain a sense of achievement and independence.

Community outreach social worker Rami Aql stated that the course aligns with the community outreach vision of providing opportunities for all segments of society, focusing on their abilities and potential. Social Services Department director I'tidal Masarwa emphasized the importance of investing in programs that offer valuable new experiences for individuals with disabilities, noting that supportive frameworks and unique initiatives contribute to their community participation, independence, and sense of accomplishment.

The Kafr Qara Municipality reiterated its commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities through tailored services and programs, striving to build an inclusive society with equal opportunities for all.
