Israel National Football Team Squad Announced for Nations League Matches

The Israeli national football team's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches has been announced by head coach Ran Ben Shimon. The team will begin their campaign in Group 7 of League B with an away game against Austria next week, marking the start of four matches in ten days.

Notable inclusions in the squad are Yarden Shua, captain of Beitar Jerusalem, who has seen limited playing time this season, and Yarin Levi from Maccabi Haifa, who also plays infrequently. Young Maccabi Haifa defender Noam Steifman has received his first call-up to the senior national team.

However, several players will be absent. Stav Tzuriel from Hapoel Tel Aviv, who had a strong start to the season, was not selected. Dia Saba will also not be called up due to an agreement stemming from his playing in the Turkish league and the sensitive geopolitical situation.

Most of the foreign-based players have been included, such as Manor Solomon (West Ham), Anan Khalaili (Crystal Palace), Oscar Gloukh (Ajax), Daniel Peretz (Southampton), Omri Gandelman (Lecce), Moanes Dabour (Red Star Belgrade), Roy Revivo (Elche), and five players from Major League Soccer (MLS). Team captain Eli Dasa, currently without a club, has also been included in the squad.
