National Team Coach Ben Shimon Finalizes Squad, Omits Key Players
National team coach Ran Ben Shimon announced his squad for the upcoming four Nations League matches, leaving out several in-form players. Among the notable omissions is Stav Touriyal, a star for Hapoel Tel Aviv, who has scored three goals and provided two assists this season, including one in the recent derby. Also left out is Hapoel Tel Aviv teammate Doron Leidner, who had a strong start to the season. From Maccabi Tel Aviv, Osher Davida, who has yet to debut for the senior national team, has recorded two goals and three assists. Dia Saba, who assisted the winning goal against Belgium in the Nations League, has scored two goals for his Turkish club, Amaspor, this season. Eden Kartsev, playing in China, has four goals and an assist in 22 appearances. In goal, Ofir Marciano, who has been performing well for the past six months, could have contended for the third goalkeeper spot behind Asaf Tzur.
