Israel National Football Team Coach Names Squad, Omits Key Players

National team coach Ran Ben Shimon announced his squad for the upcoming four Nations League matches, leaving out several in-form players. Among the notable omissions are Hapoel Tel Aviv star Stav Tzuriel, who has scored three goals and provided two assists this season, including one in the recent derby. Also left out is Oser Davida, who has two goals and three assists for Hapoel Tel Aviv and has yet to debut for the senior national team. Dia Saba, who assisted the winning goal against Belgium in the Nations League, has scored two goals for Turkish club Etimesgut Belediyespor this season. Eden Kartsev, playing in China, has four goals and an assist in 22 appearances. In defense, Doron Leidner of Hapoel Tel Aviv was also not selected despite a strong start to the season. Goalkeeper Ofir Marciano, who has performed well over the past six months, could have competed for a third-string spot on the national team.
