Hapoel Petah Tikva Disappointed by Guy Badash's Refusal to Transfer

Hapoel Petah Tikva is reportedly disappointed with player Guy Badash, who refused a transfer to M.S. Ashdod. Following his refusal, Badash was excluded from the team's recent match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The club is currently considering its next steps regarding the player. The arrival of new player Roi Levi, who can also play on the wing, may influence their decision.

Badash is the highest-earning Israeli player on the squad, with a monthly salary of approximately 40,000 shekels net. Coach Omer Peretz recently stated that Badash "is not suited to our system." In contrast, Levi is expected to earn around 30,000 shekels per month, and Be'er Sheva loaned him to Hapoel Petah Tikva without a transfer fee.

Levi's signing could facilitate a return to a formation featuring wing players on the flanks, a system that previously worked well for the team last year, as opposed to the current variable formation between a back four and three center-backs. "This is the formation that worked for us last year and we need to return to our roots," players within the club commented.

Meanwhile, Shavit Mazol, who transferred to M.S. Ashdod, did not leave Hapoel Petah Tikva solely for professional reasons. Recently, the club was dissatisfied with his conduct during training. According to club sources, the player frequently arrived late, displayed dissatisfaction, and did not take the coach seriously. The coach clearly communicated to management that Mazol was not part of his professional plans, leading to the player's departure to Ashdod.
