Maccabi Petah Tikva Disappointed After Loss to Betar Jerusalem

Maccabi Petah Tikva expressed disappointment following their 3-1 defeat to Betar Jerusalem on Tuesday. Club officials stated that while Betar Jerusalem is a superior team, Maccabi Petah Tikva conceded "naive goals" and failed to capitalize on numerous scoring opportunities due to poor decision-making. "It's a shame we weren't sharper and less naive," a club representative commented.

Maccabi Petah Tikva is not expected to sign any new players before the transfer window closes. However, defender Omer Shirley is likely to depart for the National League. Shirley has received offers from Bnei Yehuda and Hapoel Ramat Gan, with the latter reportedly prepared to pay a significant transfer fee, leaving the decision to the player. Ashdod had also shown interest.

Additionally, Yuval Kertzo has been loaned to Hapoel Acre, and Mohammad Hindi may leave if he finds a new club before the transfer deadline. Hindi is not part of coach Ziv Arie's plans for the team.
