Hapoel Petah Tikva Disappointed by Guy Badash's Refusal to Transfer to Ashdod

Hapoel Petah Tikva is reportedly disappointed with player Guy Badash, who refused a transfer to Maccabi Ashdod. Following this, Badash was not included in the team's squad for their recent match against Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The club is currently considering how to proceed with the player, especially with the arrival of Roey Levi from Be'er Sheva, who can also play on the wing.

Badash is the highest-earning Israeli player on the team, with a net salary of approximately NIS 40,000 per month. Coach Omer Peretz recently stated that Badash "is not suited to our system." In contrast, Roey Levi is expected to earn around NIS 30,000 per month, and Be'er Sheva loaned him to Hapoel Petah Tikva without a transfer fee.

Levi's arrival may pave the way for Peretz to revert to a formation that utilizes wingers on the flanks, moving away from the current system that shifts between a back four and three center-backs. Some players within the club expressed a desire to return to the formation used last year, stating, "This is the system that worked for us last year and we need to go back to our roots."

Recently, the club was dissatisfied with his conduct during training. According to club sources, Mazal was frequently late and displayed dissatisfaction, not taking the coach seriously. The coach conveyed a clear message to the management that Mazal was not part of his professional plans, leading to the player's departure to Ashdod.
