Feingold and Shu'a Expected to Receive National Team Call-Ups

The Israeli national football team is set to announce its squad for upcoming Nations League matches against Austria, Kosovo, and Ireland, with two key players, Ilai Feingold and Jordan Shu'a, reportedly receiving call-ups. Feingold, who plays for the New England Revolution, is expected to rejoin the senior squad for the first time since November 2024. He had previously been disciplined for refusing to join the youth national team in June 2024, receiving a conditional six-month ban and a fine that was donated to charity. Feingold publicly apologized for his absence at the time.

Despite recent struggles with fitness and starting roles for his club, Beitar Jerusalem, captain Jordan Shu'a is also anticipated to be included in the squad by coach Ran Ben Shimon. Shu'a has had limited starts in the current league season, though he did provide an assist after coming off the bench in his team's last victory.

Additionally, Noam Steifman of Maccabi Haifa is expected to be called up, partly due to injuries to other players like Stav Lemkin and Or Blorian, and the unavailability of Miguel Vitor. The national team is preparing for its upcoming fixtures in the UEFA Nations League.
