Israel National Football Team Set to Recall Feyenord and Shoa, Add Steifman

The Israeli national football team is preparing for upcoming Nations League matches against Austria, Kosovo, and Ireland, with coach Ran Ben Shimon expected to announce his squad on Thursday. Two key storylines surround the potential call-ups: the return of Eilai Feyenord and the inclusion of Yarden Shoa.

Feyenord, currently playing for New England Revolution, is poised to rejoin the senior squad for the first time since November 2024. He previously faced disciplinary action in June of the previous year for refusing a call-up to the youth team. His penalty included a six-month conditional suspension for any repeat offense and a 1,800 shekel fine donated to the "Big from Life" charity. Feyenord publicly apologized for his absence.

Despite a mixed recent performance for his club, Beitar Jerusalem, where he has often come off the bench and has not consistently started, Yarden Shoa is still expected to receive a call-up from Ben Shimon. He did provide an assist in his team's latest victory after entering as a substitute.
