Ministers Skip Security Meeting, Justice Minister Cedes Decision to Shin Bet
A ministerial committee meeting on security for party leaders, chaired by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, failed to convene on Wednesday as no ministers attended besides Levin himself. The committee was set to decide whether party leaders not holding official government positions would receive security protection until the swearing-in of the 26th Knesset. Following the no-show, Levin transferred the authority to determine the necessary security arrangements for relevant party leaders to the Shin Bet.
