Shin Bet to Determine Security for Party Leaders Ahead of Knesset Swearing-In
Israel's Ministerial Committee for Shin Bet Affairs, chaired by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, has decided to authorize the Shin Bet security agency to independently determine the necessary security arrangements for party leaders who are civilians and currently lack protection. This decision applies until the 26th Knesset is sworn in. Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar will set the security packages for party leaders Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, and Ofer Winter. Former Prime Ministers Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, along with former minister Avigdor Lieberman, are already under security detail due to their previous government roles.
