Israeli Tourists Ejected From Italian Restaurant After Requesting Wi-Fi

An Israeli family visiting a restaurant near Lake Garda in northern Italy was asked to leave after a waiter verbally assaulted them, calling them "animals who murder children." The incident occurred in the town of Limone sul Garda when the family, along with other Israeli tourists, requested the Wi-Fi password. Instead of providing it, the waiter directed the hateful remarks at them in front of other diners.

Despite the offensive and anti-Israel nature of the outburst, the restaurant management sided with the employee. Rather than apologizing or reprimanding the waiter, they ignored the incident and subsequently called the police to remove the Israeli customers. Local police officers reportedly handled the situation professionally and expressed regret to the tourists for the distress caused by the establishment's actions.

Following the event, the affected Israelis shared detailed warnings on social media, including a photo of the waiter, to alert other Israeli travelers in northern Italy about the restaurant. Official complaints have been filed against the business.

This incident is part of a concerning trend of hostility towards Israelis and Jews in Italy. In July, a document circulated online encouraging citizens and activists to monitor and report on the presence of Israelis and "Zionists" in various locations. The Union of Italian Jewish Communities condemned this document as a "serious escalation in antisemitism," labeling the actions of its distributors as "Zionist neo-colonization."
