An Israeli couple on their honeymoon was forcibly removed from a restaurant in Mazunte, Mexico, after revealing their nationality. The incident occurred on August 5, 2026, when the couple, who had been traveling for about a month, ordered food and drinks and initially experienced a pleasant atmosphere. However, after the waitress learned they were Israeli, she began playing Arabic music and shouted insults against Israel in English. She then told the chef she could not serve them, prompting the kitchen staff to confront the couple aggressively. The chef threw a sushi dish at them, and the couple was ordered to leave the premises.

The couple reported that when they confronted the waitress about her behavior, she openly admitted her hostility, stating she did not want to serve "murderers" and insisted they leave. Despite attempts by two Mexicans and another Israeli present to calm the situation, the couple left feeling shocked and hurt. They noted that although they had seen many Palestinian flags in the town and encountered some unfriendly looks, this was the first time they faced such overt hostility.
