Ayalon Almog Signs With Maccabi Netanya Ahead of Transfer Deadline
Midfielder Ayalon Almog has agreed to terms with Maccabi Netanya, signing a one-year contract with an option for an additional season. The deal was finalized on Wednesday evening, just before the transfer window for the Israeli Premier League closed.
Almog, who previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv and was loaned to MS Ashdod, struggled to establish himself as a key player. He will receive compensation from Hapoel Be'er Sheva, from whom he is being released without a transfer fee.
In related news, another Hapoel Be'er Sheva player, Roei Levi, is reportedly nearing a move to Hapoel Petah Tikva. Levi has also attracted interest from Ironi Kiryat Shmona but is said to prefer joining Hapoel Petah Tikva due to financial considerations.
