Gadi Eisenkot Denies Deal with United Arab List
The "Yashar" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, a candidate for prime minister, released documentation of a meeting held Tuesday with heads of Bedouin local authorities in the northern region. The documentation, including Eisenkot's remarks and contributions from attendees, was published after media sources reported that Eisenkot had told participants that the United Arab List, headed by Dr. Mansour Abbas, would be part of the government he would form after the elections.
The "Yashar" party described the reports concerning the United Arab List as "lies." Eisenkot stated, "They say I promised that Mansour Abbas would be part of the government I would form. This is a lie. Whoever does not accept my principles will not be a partner."
