Gadi Eisenkot Refutes Reports of Government Promises to Arab Leaders
Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yisrael! party, released transcripts and recordings from a meeting with Bedouin local authority heads on Wednesday to counter a Channel 12 report. The report alleged that Eisenkot had promised the leaders that the Ra'am party would be part of the next government.
In a statement, Eisenkot's party asserted that the meeting focused solely on issues relevant to the Bedouin community and did not involve discussions about the composition of a future government. "Any other publication on the subject is a complete lie," the statement declared, emphasizing that Eisenkot did not address the structure or makeup of the next government during the meeting or a subsequent meal.
Eisenkot also took a jab at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating, "We have nothing to hide. Netanyahu, take an example. This is how it's done. What about the full protocols? We are waiting."
