Big Brother Star Awarded $177,000 in Defamation Lawsuit Over Satirical Post

Former "Big Brother" contestant Shaul Hacham has won a significant legal victory, securing approximately $177,000 in damages from Tamir Shpiler, the operator of the popular satirical social media page "Israel Pigur." Hacham had sued for defamation, seeking $160,000 after a satirical post on the page falsely reported he was in a relationship with another reality show alumna, Mira Noah.

While "Israel Pigur" maintained the post was purely humorous and intended to entertain, Hacham argued it severely damaged his reputation. The lawsuit, filed in April 2026, has now concluded with a court ruling in Hacham's favor.

The operators of "Israel Pigur" revealed the judgment on their Instagram account, expressing shock at the substantial payout. "We received a lawsuit following a post on the page... The verdict has now been issued against the page and we have to pay Shaul Hacham about $177,000. Even if we sell the page and our kidney, we won't manage to pay," they stated.

They further criticized Hacham, accusing him of exploiting the situation for publicity. "It turns out there are people who exploit something like this to create items and bring their name back into the headlines. Shaul, if you are going to put on a show using our name, we will too using yours! We will not be silent, we will not let you be strong against the weak, and we will not let you win."

It remains to be seen whether the parties will reach a settlement or if the legal dispute will escalate further.
